just wanted to share a few pictures from easter and holden’s very first easter egg hunt that he got to participate in with his cousins.  he ran around the yard saying egg, egg and was surprisingly really good at finding them, making out with an easter basket full of eggs.  he had such a good time, i’m thinking that hunting for different things around our yard or at parks is something i should start doing for fun with him.

also, stop over to mom’s best network today to see our favorite winter to spring transition piece in holden’s closet and a few different styling options for little boys.

it was st. patrick’s day and we didn’t wear a single piece of green.  it wasn’t until friday that dustin and i were reminded that it saint patrick’s day was a mere two days away, instantly reminding me of my thoughts from last year.  we attended a parade on saturday morning (holden’s very first parade ever), but when the actual holiday rolled around we ended up steering clear of the usual st. patty’s day festivities and instead headed to the nearly desolate beaches at half moon bay.  we started the morning at the tide pools, finding sea anemones, starfish, hermit crabs, and mussels.  we then stopped by a local taco shack for lunch and napped on blankets in the sand into the late afternoon, the crashing waves replacing the need for any sort of sound machine.  before heading home, we stopped at the harbor for a quick dinner and one more hour on the beach where holden and our puppy chased one another underneath the pier.

a simple and unusual st. patty’s day, but an absolutely perfect sunday.

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY.

we had grand plans for this little young love valentine’s photo shoot.  we thought we’d capture holden blowing kisses to his friend, addie, who would be reaching up to grab them.  ha!  the little ones had plans of their own, none of which included any of ours.  so instead of the shoot we had initially envisioned, we just captured them as they were, picking hearts off the wall and climbing boxes and this is what we got instead.
