between family gatherings, friends’ parties, and new years eve, there is a lot of dressing up over the holiday season.  somehow i always struggle with finding affordable options for these events and end up blowing my entire budget on one outfit that i refuse to wear again because everyone has already seen pictures of me in it.  this year, i decided to be smarter with my money and have sought out a few holiday looks for less.  i’m sharing this little mini series comprised of cheaper options for mama and son over the next couple of days to hopefully help make shopping for those holiday outfits a little easier and a lot more affordable.

today’s outfits are from old navy.  i was surprised to find my dress on the sale rack for $8.99 amongst a rack of equally beautiful and equally cheap options.  you can pair it with black tights and booties from your closet and you can play up the look with a leather jacket or sequined blazer.  i stumbled across this cute (and warm) button-up shirt for holden and grabbed a pair of red jeans on sale in the little girls’ section.  you can add a tie or a bow tie to make it more appropriate for a dressier event.  i love these outfits and the fact that together they were less than $40 is even better.
